Overview

 

​Communication is more important than ever. According to the Association of American Colleges and Universities, 93% of employers surveyed agree that “a candidate’s demonstrated capacity to think critically, communicate clearly, and solve problems is more important than the undergraduate major.” Communication is essential because it is the foundation for how we interact with others whether it is written or verbal. This program is designed to introduce you to the key elements to be a strong communicator, increase your self-awareness, and give you tools for how you can improve your communication skillset.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Overview

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is an essential skill for anyone who is in a leadership position or works with others. EQ is the ability to understand your own as well as others’ emotions and how they drive resulting behavior, and then using that knowledge to motivate others or yourself. According to a 2004 HBR Article “What Makes a Great Leader,” Emotional Intelligence skills account for nearly 90 percent of what moves people up the ladder when IQ and technical skills are fairly equal. This program is designed to breakdown the core elements of Emotional Intelligence and to provide participants with an opportunity to build their EQ using interactive exercises and practical strategies.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE

Overview

According to a paper published by the Journal of Behavioral Science, it is estimated that 70% of the U.S. population has imposter syndrome. When we feel like a fraud we procrastinate, avoid speaking up, over prepare, develop anxiety, engage in bad habits and more. Therefore, your ability to manage imposter syndrome and build confidence are essential. This program is designed to give participants an understanding of imposter syndrome and how it is linked to confidence and self-esteem. Participants will connect at a deeper level by understanding the challenges and fears that people face on a day to day basis. The course will conclude by having participants face something they do not think they can do.
